Q. What comes standard on the EasyStand 7000 Magician?
A. The Magician comes with a padded seat & back, hip supports, footplates, locking casters, quick adjust package, clear acrylic table with chest pad, gas spring assist & royal blue upholstery.

Q. What makes the Magician different from other standers?
A. The Magician has a unique sit to stand technology which accommodates positioning for individuals with limited range of motion, also providing upright weight bearing, all with a natural sit to stand transition reducing fear and anxiety in the user.

Q. Do you make a high back for the magician?
A. The current back height on the magician is 11” from the seat. If you need something different remember we have a custom modification department that has made many special custom modification to our standers.

Q. Do you make a hydraulic pump for the magician?
A. No, The EasyStand Magician uses a gas spring assisted lift to bring your child into a standing position instead of a hydraulic pump. However, if your child is at least 4' tall, they may fit into the EasyStand 5000 Youth, which uses a hydraulic pump so that your child can stand independently.

Q. What does prone & supine mean?
A. Prone – lying on the stomach or face down.
Supine- lying face up or on the back side of the body.

The EasyStand Magician is an upright stander, which provides better weight bearing than prone or supine standers. The Magician also encourages peer level interaction in the natural upright position.

Q. Why is it better for kids to stand in an upright stander?
A. When medically possible upright standing is preferred as it allows more weight to be directed into the feet and legs.

Q. What support options are available for the Magician?
A. Magician Options include:
  • Foot straps
  • Secure foot option
  • Lateral trunk supports
  • Seat belt
  • Chest strap

Q. My child is growing out of the Magician. Now what?
A. Due to success with our Magician and Adult 5000 EasyStand products and request from Therapist, Suppliers and Caregivers we have developed the 5000 Youth stander. The 5000 Youth is a combination of the best of the Magician and the 5000 EasyStand with height range overlaps making the transition from the Magician to the 5000 Youth easy.

Q. What is the warranty on the EasyStand Magician?
A. Steel Frames - 5 Year Warranty
Gas Spring - 3 Year Warranty

Upholstered Components, plastic pads, rubber parts, painted surfaces; bearing and other parts not pacifistically identified above-90 days

The serial number of your EasyStand will be required for all warranty and parts inquiries. It is located underneath the seat.

Q. How do I know that my child will be able to use the Mobile Magician?
A. As with all of our standers AMI strongly suggests that a specific product demo or trial be done with the child’s team (Therapist(s), Supplier & Caregiver(s)) and the stander you are considering.

Q. Does the Magician work well in multi-user facilities?
A. The modular design, tool free adjustments and possibility of one person transfer all add to the ease of use of the Magician in multi-user environments.

Q. How many people does it take to position a child into the Magician?
A. This depends on the child, but generally speaking one person can accomplish the transfer, secure the seat belt, chest strap/ harness and position the feet and knees.

Q. My son could fit in the Magician & the Youth. Which stander should I order?
A. Always consider your specific situation first. But usually go with the product that will allow the most future growth.

Q. Can I use the headrest off of my seating system on my EasyStand?
A. Yes, you would need to order the Universal Head Support Receiver. The Universal Head Support Receiver adapts to Whitmeyer Biomechanix, Stealth, and Otto Bock Headrests. It is available for the EasyStand 7000,7500, 5000 Youth, and the EasyStand 5000.
