The
Magician comes with a padded seat & back, hip supports,
footplates, locking casters, quick adjust package, clear
acrylic table with chest pad, gas spring assist & royal blue
upholstery. |

What
makes the Magician different from other standers? |
|
A. |
The
Magician has a unique sit to stand technology which
accommodates positioning for individuals with limited range
of motion, also providing upright weight bearing, all with a
natural sit to stand transition reducing fear and anxiety in
the user. |

Do
you make a high back for the magician? |
|
A. |
The
current back height on the magician is 11” from the seat. If
you need something different remember we have a custom
modification department that has made many special custom
modification to our standers.

Do
you make a hydraulic pump for the magician? |
|
A. |
No,
The EasyStand Magician uses a gas spring assisted lift to
bring your child into a standing position instead of a
hydraulic pump. However, if your child is at least 4' tall,
they may fit into the
EasyStand 5000 Youth, which uses a hydraulic pump so
that your child can stand independently.

What
does prone & supine mean? |

A. |
Prone – lying on the stomach
or face down.
Supine- lying face up or on
the back side of the body.
The EasyStand Magician is an upright
stander, which provides better weight bearing than prone or
supine standers. The Magician also encourages peer level
interaction in the natural upright position.

Why
is it better for kids to stand in an upright stander? |
|
A. |
When
medically possible upright standing is preferred as it
allows more weight to be directed into the feet and legs.

child is growing out of the Magician. Now what? |
|
A. |
Due to
success with our Magician and Adult 5000 EasyStand products
and request from Therapist, Suppliers and Caregivers we have
developed the 5000 Youth stander. The 5000 Youth is a
combination of the best of the Magician and the 5000
EasyStand with height range overlaps making the transition
from the Magician to the 5000 Youth easy.

What
is the warranty on the EasyStand Magician? |

Steel Frames - 5 Year Warranty
Gas Spring - 3 Year Warranty
Upholstered Components, plastic
pads, rubber parts, painted surfaces; bearing and other
parts not pacifistically identified above-90 days
The serial number of your
EasyStand will be required for all warranty and parts
inquiries. It is located underneath the seat.

How
do I know that my child will be able to use the Mobile
Magician? |

As
with all of our standers AMI strongly suggests that a
specific product demo or trial be done with the child’s team
(Therapist(s), Supplier & Caregiver(s)) and the stander you
are considering. |

Does
the Magician work well in multi-user facilities? |
|
A. |
The
modular design, tool free adjustments and possibility of one
person transfer all add to the ease of use of the Magician
in multi-user environments.

How
many people does it take to position a child into the
Magician? |
|
A. |
This
depends on the child, but generally speaking one person can
accomplish the transfer, secure the seat belt, chest strap/
harness and position the feet and knees.

son could fit in the Magician & the Youth. Which stander
should I order? |

A. |
Always consider your specific
situation first. But usually go with the product that will
allow the most future growth.

Can I
use the headrest off of my seating system on my EasyStand? |
|
A. |
Yes,
you would need to order the Universal Head Support Receiver.
The Universal Head Support Receiver adapts to Whitmeyer
Biomechanix, Stealth, and Otto Bock Headrests. It is
available for the EasyStand 7000,7500, 5000 Youth, and the
EasyStand 5000. |

What
is the no-table option? |
|
A. |
The
No-Table Option can replace the standard table on the
EasyStand 7000,7500,5000 Youth or the 5000. Most people use
it together with the Mobile Option to allow closer access to
cabinets and other hard to reach areas.

Why
can't I use the EasyStand outside? |
|
A. |
The
casters are not designed for outdoor use.
