Butler Imperial Elite Stair-lift Our Imperial Elite Stair-lift has been improving quality of life for customers since 1994, and is one of many models we have provided since 1968. Easy installation, reliable operation The Imperial Elite uses screw drive technology, which eliminates noisy and unreliable chains and cables. It also features a durable and maintenance-free AC motor, requiring standard residential 110-volt electrical power. The unit features only three rotating parts, including Butler’s unique safety nut that is suspended to float freely, eliminating any wear. Design features like these have given us our reputation for dependability and low maintenance over a long product life. The Imperial Elite is designed to install quickly and easily on a wide variety of stair configurations, varying in length, steepness and direction. With the seat and footrest folded up, it occupies only 14 inches of stair width. All units are also interchangeable between left and right side installation – a great feature for resale value. The Imperial Elite is fully adjustable – providing complete ergonomic comfort and safe operation at all times. The seat height and position of the foot rest are designed for easy access and ride comfort. The seat itself is upholstered with generously padded material, which also serves to absorb sound and reduce overall noise and vibration from the motor. A foot-operated call button is conveniently located at the top and bottom of the unit, so the Stair-lift can be accessed in all circumstances and can be used by more than one person in the home. Safety and service All Butler Stair lifts meet or exceed all requirements of the Government’s National Safety Code for Private Residence and Public Building Incline Lifts. They also provide compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which mandates safe, reliable access for everyone in public buildings.
A specially-designed cut-off safety switch renders the Imperial Elite inoperative and indicates that service is required. All controls are also safely within reach and easy to operate. Ergonomic design of the seat and footrest also contributes to operational safety, along with seat arms and a lap-positioned restraint belt.
