About Butler Mobility Products

Butler Mobility Products has been manufacturing its line of stair-lifts, vertical and incline wheelchair lifts since 1968, and dumbwaiters since 1958. The Butler Mobility Product line is manufactured and assembled by The Flinchbaugh Company, Inc. – a quality machined parts provider since 1936.

The Flinchbaugh Company and Butler Mobility Products are located at a 34,000 square foot manufacturing facility in York, Pennsylvania. The Butler Mobility product line is solely manufactured and distributed from this location, which holds ISO 9001 quality management certification.

The Flinchbaugh Company was founded in 1936 by Henry Flinchbaugh – one of four brothers who owned and operated businesses in the community of York, Pennsylvania. The second owner took the company through to 2005, when it was acquired by local businessmen, Gregory Jenkins and Kurt Weber.

After its launch in the mid-1930s, The Flinchbaugh Company primarily operated as a provider of machined parts for its own patented products. By the late 1950s, it was providing machined parts to the U.S. military and leading private sector manufacturers, including General Electric, Caterpillar Tractor, Mack Truck and York International. This coincided with the launch of production of the Butler Mobility Products line.
