Quickie® SmartSeat with Intelli-motion represents a breakthrough in tilt-and-recline technology. Its unique, patented design offers all of the benefits of tilt and recline while preserving posture and skin integrity. We've taken everything into account from ensuring consistent positioning to simplifying functionality. The result is a system so thorough, it's not only redefining the positioning systems, it's restoring a better quality of life.

Enhanced Recline
Through the benefit of Enhanced Recline, shearing forces are virtually eliminated and pelvic positioning is preserved.

Independent Programmability and Function
All actuator controlled systems on the SmartSeat are individually programmed and capable of independent operation. Once the chair is programmed specific to the patient's unique needs they can separately control tilt, recline, right legrest, left legrest or move both legrests together. As a result, the chair is designed to fit the patient rather than the patient being forced to fit the chair.

Programmable Shear-Reduction
Programmable shear-reduction coordinates the shear plate movement to closely match the individual's shear profile. This unique feature provides complete customization of the shear reduction process.

One Manufacturing Source
The SmartSeat system is designed specifically for Quickie® power wheelchairs. This ensures that the chair's performance capabilities are not compromised, and provides a simplified approach for service accountability.


	The Smart Seat Pendant Programmer pad eliminates the guesswork of patient-settings. With the patient in the seat, the power seat functions are positioned until a perfect fit is found. The actuator angles can then be read from the display and entered into the program menu. This programmer is standard with every SmartSeat.

	The new SmartSeat ships complete, on a pallet with the backrest upright and assembled. Only the armrests, joystick, headrest, and footrests require attachment.

	Re-calibrating the five actuators to ensure smooth operation is easy with the SmartSeat. By pressing the Re-home Button, the entire chair is re-calibrated in a few moments.

	Using SmartSeat technology, power elevating legrests or power articulating legrests are now available on Quickie® S-626 tilt, recline, and tilt-and-recline systems.

	Available with the SmartSeat is an optional 5-switch toggle. This toggle provides easy access for an attendant or can serve as an alternative to through-drive control.

	The SmartSeat is designed with safety in mind. Notable features include: Anti-tip rear casters that automatically lock-out when the chair reclines; a mercury switch that shuts off the tilt-and-recline functions when the chair is on an incline; an Enhanced Recline disable feature that allows the end-user to disable the Enhanced Recline when seated under tables and desks.
